The Friendship Trophy
The AV with the most votes was "The Beach" by David Johnson. This was subsequently withdrawn.
Two joint winners were declared: "My Day My Way" by Sandra Johnson

and "Pie Jesu" by Judy Longthorne.

The special anniversary competition on the theme of "Celebration" was won by Joan Horne with "The Fascination of AV"

MidPhot 2012
The new organisers paid tribute to Peter Brown for his support to enable them to take the event forward at the new venue. EMAVG members had a good presence in both the entries and on the day. Malcolm Imhoff was Commended for "An Autumn Adagio". The full results can be seen here.
Inter-Club Competitions

The Jessops Rose Bowl AV Competition 2011
Under new management and at a new venue, Smethwick, this was a very enjoyable and successful day. There were fourteen entries, six from EMAVG, and all were of a very high standard. The comments by Ian Bateman FRPS were extremely detailed and much appreciated by the audience.
Malcolm Imhoff came Third with "Gnossienne No1", Brian Jeffs gained a Highly Commended for "Back to Everest", and Marie Thompson was awarded a Commended for "They Called it Wipers"

Malcolm had three images accepted in this prestigious exhibition: "On the Edge", "Fallen Tree", and "Nepalese Girl".



The Intercities Trophy
The INTER CITIES TROPHY is a major Midlands photographic competition so it was a revelation that last year's contest was scooped by a group specialising in making audio visual productions, the East Midlands Audio Visual Group .
The winning panel was made up of Howard Fisher's "The Conductor", "Nepalese Girl" by Malcolm Imhoff, John Currant's "Docklands Light Railway", and "Lakeland Farm" by Peggy Franks.
